On 28th November the Caledonian Society of Peru and the Chamber organised their traditional annual Caledonian Ball at the Swissotel to celebrate St. Andrews day.
It was a great night in which Scots, English, Peruvians and many other nationalities gathered together to celebrate Scottish culture, eating the traditional haggis, drinking the famous Scotch whisky and dancing Scottish dances accompanied by bag pipers.
The celebration which included a raffle, with prizes generously donated by various companies including Air Canada and Orient Express Hotels, Trains & Cruises. The proceeds of the raffle will go as in previous years to assist in the reconstruction of schools in the south which suffered damage due to the earthquake in 2007.
