In May 2008, the most important trade fair for alcoholic beverages in Europe, the London International Wine & Spirits Fair will include for the first time DISTIL, a special section, focusing entirely on the spirits market.

As part of the activities organised by the British Peruvian Chamber Of Commerce in order to promote bilateral commercial relations between Peru and UK, on 27th November the British Chamber and The Origin Pisco Denomination Regulator Council organised a presentation of the fair for Peruvian pisco and wine producers. The presentation was very well received by all the attendes and was the launch of an initiative supported by Promperu for a pisco trade mission to attend the fair in the UK in 2008.

The presenters were Mara Seminario, Director of Tourism Promotion for Promperu, Johann Spitzer, President of the Comision Nacional de Pisco; Jose Moquillaza, Director General of the Origin Pisco Denomination Regulator Council and Mrs. Irene Salazar, Director of Feriasalimentarias.com, exclusive and oficial agent of The London International Wine Fair and DISTIL in Southamerica, Central America and México.
